DiscoverShade can either be designed into your new construction project, or the screens can be retrofitted into your existing space. The screens seamlessly integrate into any style of architecture.

We can incorporate DiscoverShade into your home automation system, but if you don’t have a smart home, DiscoverShade can still be easily installed and controlled from a wall switch, remote control and even your smart phone.

As a custom product, it depends on your space and the type of screen/shade/shutter product you choose. Our team will come to your home or business right away to provide an estimate. Once you decide to purchase DiscoverShade, it typically takes 2-3 weeks for your shades to be custom fabricated in the U.S. and installation only takes a matter of hours. On average, from purchase to installation, it takes about a month.

The legacy approach to retractable screens relies on a zipper to secure the screen into its side tracks. It is a great product but in the off-chance a misalignment occurs, you likely won’t be able to get the screen back on track without a service call.

As an alternative, we sell the MagnaTrack product with innovative, patented technology that uses magnets internally secured in the side tracks instead of zippers. The magnets allow the screen to free float within its tracks during deployment so if misalignment occurs, the magnets automatically fix the screen into its correct position and eliminate the need for a service call.

On both screen types, we use best-in-class commercial-grade motors with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty, plus we tack an extra five years on to that for a total of 10 years in motor warranty.

Our highly skilled team has decades of experience installing motorized shades, screens and hurricane shutters. We make it look easy, but this is one improvement job we recommend leaving to the experts, especially because there is an electrical motor involved.

For existing spaces, if power isn’t already available we will work with a licensed electrician to provide a power source for your DiscoverShade motor. We have an extensive network of electricians we work with often, but we would be happy to work with any licensed electrician of our customer’s choice. For new construction, we’ll work with the contractor to make sure a power source is built in for seamless installation.
